5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 29, 2004 <br /> Acceptance of Seasonal Population Report: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Town Planner dated March 5, <br /> 2004 relative to the estimate population for summer 2004. It was noted <br /> that the population estimate is used to establish a quota of seasonal <br /> package goods stores licensed under MGL, Chapter 138, Section 15. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to estimate the resident <br /> population of July 10,2004 to be 30,073 as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Beach Sticker Rates: <br /> Policy for Purchase and Use of Permits/Passes: <br /> Mashpee Transfer Station and Beaches: <br /> Gus Frederick, Director of Leisure Services was present to discuss the <br /> Beach Sticker Rates for the upcoming beach season. A proposal was <br /> outlined in his memorandum to the Board dated March 18, 2004. An in- <br /> depth discussion followed. Catherine Laurent, Assistant DPW also <br /> discussed the policy for the purchase &use of permits and passes <br /> associated to the Transfer Station and beaches. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to amend and approve the Beach <br /> Sticker Rates as follows: <br /> Resident Beach Parking Sticker $20 <br /> Non-Resident/Monthly Renters $100 <br /> (proof of rental in Mashpee, pass to include license plate number) <br /> Weekly Parking Pass $40 <br /> (pass to include license plate number for identification purposes) <br /> And,Policy for Purchase and Use of Permits/Passes associated to <br /> the Transfer Station and beaches amended as follows: <br /> Added language: To acknowledge the aboriginal rights stickers and, <br /> To Remove language contained in permit application as noted; <br /> Mashpee visitor—passes <br /> Weekly beach pass <br /> Transferable pass <br /> (renter would be required to obtain intended pass at Town Hall) <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> r <br />
