5 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> • April 12, 2004 <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Finally Dino's—Law Dawgs Fundraiser Plan: <br /> Constantinos Mitrokostas,owner of Finally Dino's was present with <br /> Benjamin Perry to discuss the 1'Annual W. Paolini Motorcycle Ride and <br /> Blessing on May 1, 2004. It was noted that the event is scheduled to end <br /> at the John's Pond Center location. <br /> Mr. Mitrokostas requested the Selectmen's consideration to allow the rear <br /> parking area to be enclosed to clearly control the anticipated gathering. <br /> An estimated 500 motorcycles are expected to attend the ride and blessing. <br /> The Selectmen indicated that they do not have the authority to issue a one- <br /> day license beyond the description of the present alcohol license of the <br /> Finally Dino's establishment. It was agreed that food, non-alcoholic <br /> beverages and entertainment would be permissible in an enclosed area. <br /> The Selectmen requested that adequate signage and notification be <br /> disseminated for public awareness of potential traffic delays. <br /> The Law Dawgs, a non-profit organization indicated that they may seek <br /> approval for a one-day wine and malt license. The matter was tabled. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Appointment—Assistant Treasurer/Tax Collector: <br /> The Town Administrator brought forth her recommendation to the <br /> Selectmen to employ the services of Anne-Marie Noyes to the full-time <br /> position of Assistant Treasurer/Assistant Tax Collector. <br /> It was noted that Ms. Noyes is presently working in the office through <br /> Accountemps since September of 2003. Ms.Noyes has fall knowledge of <br /> the payroll system and was instrumental in the conversion to the current <br /> in-house payroll system. Funds presently exist within the budget. <br /> Discussion followed with respect to the Selectmen's intention to create the <br /> position of Finance Director. It was agreed that the Union would be <br /> consulted regarding a change in job title to that of payroll coordinator. <br />
