2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> • <br /> April 26, 2004 <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Bid Acceptance—Brush Breaker: <br /> Fire Chief George Baker was present to request the Selectmen award the <br /> bid for an All Wheel Drive, 60, Cab and Chassis with the Optional <br /> Hydraulic Winch to Portland North Truck Center of Falmouth, Maine in <br /> the amount of$132,746. <br /> It was noted that grant funding is secured for the department's brush <br /> breaker. The vehicle bid proposes to fund one-half of the required <br /> components. The brush breaker was approved in the CIP budget. A grant <br /> in the amount of$225,000 was received. The Town is obligated to <br /> provide a 10%match. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalan to accept the bid from Portland <br /> North Truck Center for a 2005 Truck,All Wheel Drive,6x6, Cab and <br /> Chassis with Optional Hydraulic Winch in the amount of$132,746. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Police Chief—Hearing Officer's Report: <br /> Maurice Cooper, Chief of Police was present to discuss the Hearing <br /> Officer's Report and recommendation regarding Police Officer Paul A. <br /> Coronella. Correspondence was received from Town Counsel Patrick <br /> Costello dated April 13, 2004 with respect to this regard. <br /> Selectman Taylor moved that the Board of Selectmen accept the <br /> Findings of Fact and Recommendation for Discipline issued by the <br /> Hearing Officer in the disciplinary matter concerning Mashpee Police <br /> Officer Paul A. Coronella and terminate his employment with the <br /> Town of Mashpee. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> I <br />
