6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 26, 2004 <br /> ` NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Appointment—Board Secretary <br /> Correspondence was received from the Personnel Administrator dated <br /> April 14, 2004 recommending the appointment of Patricia Bachand as <br /> Board Secretary to the Finance Committee. It was noted that the Finance <br /> Committee is in agreement with the recommendation. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to appoint Patricia Bachand as <br /> Board Secretary as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> Recess: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalan to adjourn at 7:06 p.m. The <br /> Board will recess until 7:15 p.m. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 4-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Daniel&Joanne Kombert & Parents of Mashpee Students—School <br /> Proposal: <br /> Joanne Kombert presented a list of possible solutions to maintain the level <br /> of education in the Town of Mashpee. Additional fees as proposed <br /> include user fees for extracurricular activities, supplies, busing, student <br /> parking, fundraising initiatives and through the advertisement process. <br /> (enclosed) <br /> Miller Starbuck—40B Proposal: <br /> Phil Miller and Ron Peabody of Miller Starbuck were present to discuss <br /> conceptual plans for a 40B project on Route 130,Mashpee. It was noted <br /> that a similar project of theirs, Mill Farm, is being constructed in the Town <br /> of Falmouth. <br /> It was agreed that a site plan would be submitted to the Board of <br /> Selectmen in a few weeks. Issues relative to the road layout were not <br /> clearly defined. The matter was taken under advisement at this time. <br />
