1 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 2, 2004 <br /> Present: Selectman Cahalane, Selectman Marsters, Selectman Myers <br /> Town Manager Joyce Mason <br /> Assistant Town Administrator Jim Marr <br /> Absent: Selectman Green, Selectman Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Cahalane at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Town Hall, Conference Room#1. <br /> MINUTES: <br /> Monday, July 19, 2004 Reaular and Executive Sessions: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to approve the Regular and <br /> Executive Session minutes of Monday,July 19,2004 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> • Public Comment: None at this time. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Town Meeting Warrant—Draft#1: <br /> The Board of Selectmen briefly reviewed the articles submitted for the <br /> October 18, 2004 Town Meeting warrant. It was agreed that Department <br /> Heads requesting to create new positions would appear before the Board at <br /> the next scheduled meeting. <br /> The Selectmen requested that language pertaining to the impact of the tax <br /> rate be included in the explanation of the $3,500,000 Library Building <br /> article that would be bonded for twenty years,providing an affirmative <br /> vote for a debt exclusion is passed at the November 2, 2004 election. <br /> • <br />
