4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 2, 2004 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Cemetery Update- Ernest Virgilio: <br /> Cemetery Commission Chairman Ernest Virgilio was present to update the <br /> Selectmen on expense and capital budgets for the Town Cemeteries. <br /> Correspondence was received from Catherine Laurent; Assistant DPW <br /> Director dated July 26, 2004 with respect to this regard. <br /> It was noted that projects less than$25,000 would be assumed under the <br /> expense budget for the cemeteries. <br /> Mashpee Youth Football—Patrick Ball: <br /> Patrick Ball, President of Mashpee Youth Football was present to request <br /> the Selectmen donate loam to help the Jr. Falcons complete the new <br /> football field between the Quashnet School and K.C. Coombs School. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to donate approximately 350 <br /> yards of loam to the Mashpee Youth Football,Jr. Falcons program. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Bid Acceptance—Fire Department: <br /> Conversion of Chassis to Brush Breaker: <br /> The Board of Selectmen reviewed the bids submitted for the Fire <br /> Department's conversion of chassis to brush breaker. It was <br /> recommended the Selectmen award the bid to Polymax for the conversion <br /> which includes option 1,traffic preemption emitter for a total sum of <br /> $88,671. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to accept the bid of Polymax <br /> Corp of Middleboro for the brush breaker conversion in the amount <br /> of$88,671 as recommended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Myers. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> • <br />
