3
Board of Selectmen
Minutes
. August 2, 2004
APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS:
Auditors—Sullivan, Rogers& Company—Exit Interview:
Matt Hunt and Dan Sullivan, auditors of Sullivan, Rogers & Company
conducted an exit conference with the Board of Selectmen for the June 20,
2003 annual audit. An overview of the Town's financial statements dated
August 2, 2004 was disbursed to the Selectmen for additional review and
discussion. (enclosed)
Bike Path Update—Don Me ag thlin:
Don Megathlin, Talanian Realty was present to request the Selectmen
approve the phased Great Neck Road South sidewalk program. Due to the
cost, it was suggested that the sidewalk improvements be phased.
In phase 1, a meandering sidewalk on the west side of Great Neck Road
South would be constructed from Donna's Lane to Godfrey Road. A low
bid price from Lawrence Lynch in the amount of$317,000 would allow
for the sidewalk completion to Godfrey Road. If approved, work would
commence next week without interruption of the two-lane travel on Great
Neck Road South.
The Board has not received written approval from the Conservation
Commission to cross over their easement although they are noted to be in
support of the project proposal.
Motion made by Selectman Myers to approve and execute the
easement plans associated to the bike path along Great Neck Road
South to Godfrey Road subject to written approval from the
Conservation Commission.
Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters.
VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0.
