r <br /> 2 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> • Minutes <br /> June 5, 2006 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Cape Light Compact Representative: <br /> Arnold Wallenstein, Mashpee's representative to the Cape Light Compact <br /> was in attendance to reaffirm the Selectmen's position on the Cape Wind <br /> Associates project. It was noted the Cape Light Compact(CLC)is <br /> expected to vote at its June 14th meeting on whether to support or to <br /> oppose the Cape Wind project. The CLC has had presentations from the <br /> Cape Wind and from the project's opponents. <br /> Mr. Wallenstein indicated he was appointed by the Selectmen with the <br /> condition he take no vote or action to support the Cape Wind. <br /> It was reaffirmed the Town as a whole voted not to support the project. <br /> It is also the policy of the Board of Selectmen to not take sides on <br /> alternate proposals. <br /> • COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE: <br /> Reappointment List—Boards and Committees: <br /> Correspondence was received from Kathleen Moore; Administrative <br /> Assistant dated June 1, 2006 regarding the.annual reappointments. The <br /> Selectmen were requested to notify Ms. Moore of any comments or <br /> corrections. <br /> The Selectmen will be requested to take action on the reappointments at <br /> their next meeting on June 19, 2006. <br /> With respect to the Leisure Services Advisory Committee,it was noted <br /> that three members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen and three <br /> members are appointed by the School Committee. <br /> The Board requested a listing of all boards and committees that have <br /> vacancies. <br /> • <br />
