7 <br /> <br />Board of Selectmen <br />Minutes <br />January 9, 2017 <br /> <br />OPEB Liability Trust Investment Policy 070: <br /> <br />To provide a clear understanding between the Town of Mashpee and Investment Manager <br />regarding the objectives, goals, risk tolerance and investment guidelines established for the Other <br />Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Liability Trust Fund, Policy 070 was presented to the Board <br />of Selectmen for adoption. Craig Mayen, the Treasurer/Tax Collector recommended approval. <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to adopt the OPEB Liability Trust Investment <br />Policy 070 as recommended. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O’Hara, yes <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br />Fund Balance Policy 071: <br /> <br />To mitigate risks associated with unforeseen revenue and expenditure changes, the unrestricted <br />Fund Balance Policy 071 provides liquidity in cash flow for internal b orrowing and general <br />operating purposes. <br /> <br />Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve Fund Balance Policy 071 as presented. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O’Hara, yes <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br />Acceptance of resignation – Lucy C. Burton, Board of Health: <br /> <br />Motion made by Mrs. Sherman to regretfully accept the resignation of Lucy C. On behalf of the Town of Mashpee, Glen Harrington, the Board of <br />Health Agent presented a plaque to Mrs. Burton in appreciation for her dedication and service. <br />Mrs. Burton’s final meeting is Thursday, January 19, 2017.
