3 <br /> <br /> <br />Board of Selectmen <br />Minutes <br />May 26, 2015 <br /> <br />Dennis Luttrell: <br /> <br />Since 2008 Dennis Luttrell has been the town administrator of the Town of Somerset. Prior to <br />this appointment Mr. Luttrell has served as town administrator for the Towns of Sherborn, and <br />Tisbury. Mr. Luttrell was also a grant writer in Fall River, and a community development <br />administrator in Woonsocket, RI. <br /> <br />Mr. Luttrell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and has taken initial course work towards his <br />Master’s degree in Public Administration from Bridgewater State University. <br /> <br />Mr. Luttrell indicated that he is knowledgeable of Massachusetts General Laws and municipal <br />procedures. He has served as chief procurement officer overseeing competitive bids and <br />purchasing. Mr. Luttrell has drafted personnel policies and job descriptions, and has reorganized <br />departmental procedures. Mr. Luttrell stated that he is familiar with drafting and analyzing <br />budgets. <br /> <br />With the assistance of general counsel Mr. Luttrell stated that he has negotiated contracts <br />although not all contracts were settled in a timely manner, some went to arbitration. <br /> <br />Mr. Luttrell indicated that he believes he has a wide range of experience that would be beneficial <br />to the Town of Mashpee. With regards to the opiate problem, it was suggested that grant <br />opportunities be explored for education and prevention. <br /> <br /> Adjournment: <br /> <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to adjourn at 6:15 p.m. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman Sherman, yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman O’Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Opposed, none <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> Kathleen M.
