414 <br />TOWN OF MASHPEE t <br />C� <br />SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT <br />February 21, 1978 <br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS <br />Barnstable, ss: <br />To the Constable of the Town of Mashpee Greetings: <br />In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are <br />hereby directed to notify and summons the inhabitants of the <br />Town of Mashpee, who are qualified to vote in the elections, to <br />meet at the Mashpee Town Hall, Route 130, Mashpee, on Tuesday, <br />February 21, 1978, at seven o'clock, p.m., for the following <br />purposes: <br />To act on the Articles contained in the following Warrant: <br />A quorum of 124 registered voters present, Frank M. Leonardi, <br />Moderator, brought the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from avail- <br />able funds a sum of money to the Legal and Engineering Account, <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded that the Town vote <br />to transfer the sum of $50,000.00 from the General Fund for the <br />Legal and Engineering Account. Motion carried. <br />ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from avail- <br />able funds a sum of money to the Snow and Ice Account, or take <br />any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded that the Town trans- ' <br />fer $12,400.00 from the Antirecession Fiscal Assistance Fund and <br />$24,600.00 from the General Fund to the Snow and Ice Account. <br />Motion carried. A unanimous vote. <br />ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to transfer from avail- <br />able funds a sum of money to the Police Department Wage Account, <br />or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion duly made and seconded that the Town vote <br />to transfer $1,500.00 from the Antirecession Fiscal Assistance <br />Fund and $5,000.00 from the Police Department Chiefs Salary <br />Account to the Police Department Wage Account. Motion carried. <br />A unanimous vote. <br />And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting up <br />attested copies thereof, one at the Town Hall, one at the Post <br />Office, and one each on the Bulletin boards fourteen days at <br />least before said meeting. <br />Hereof fail not and make returns of the Warrant with your <br />doings thereon to the Town Clerk at the time and place of said <br />meeting. <br />Given under our hands this 1st day of February in the year <br />of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventy-eight. <br />A true Copy, Attest: <br />Vernon A.
