434 Annual Town Meeting -17- May 1, 1978 ARTICLE 35. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate or transfer from available funds the sum of $1,500, or any other sum, for the purpose of continuing the Monitoring of Mashpee Lakes under the Mashpee Lakes Pollution Abatement Program, or take any other action thereon. (Submitted by the Board of Health) ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend and accept Article 35 to read: "To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,500 for the purpose of continuing the Monitoring of Mashpee Lakes under the Mashpee Lakes Pollution Abatement Program." Motion carried. ARTICLE 36. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate or take from available funds the sum of $6,000.00,for any other sum, for the purpose of making an Hydraulic Study of the Disposal Facility as required by the Department of Environmental Quality Engineering, or take any other action thereon. (Sub- mitted by the Board of Health) ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 36 to read: "To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $6,000.00 for the purpose of making an Hydraulic Study of the Disposal Facility as required by the Department of Environ- mental Quality Engineering." Motion made and seconded to accept Article 36 as amended. Motion carried. ARTICLE 37. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate or take from available funds the sum of $30,000.00, or any other sum, for the purpose of construction of an Anaerobic Sept - age Treatment Lagoon as required by the Department of Environ- mental Quality Engineering, or take any other action thereon. (Submitted by the Board of Health) ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 37 to read: "To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $28,400.00 for the purpose of construction of an Anaerobic Septage Treatment Lagoon as required by the Department of Environ- mental Quality Engineering." Motion carried as amended. ARTICLE 38. To see if the Town will vote to accept Section 1001 of Chapter 41 of the General Laws which provides that the Town shall indemnify and savehharmless municipal officers, elected or appointed, from personal financial loss and expense including reasonable legal fees and costs, if any, in an amount not to exceed one million dollars, arising out of any claim, demand, suit or judgment by reason of any act or omission including a violation of civil rights of any'.person under Federal law, if the official at the time of such act or omission was acting within the scope of his official duties or employment. (Submitted by Mashpee Citizens) ACTION: Motion made and seconded that Article_ 38 be accepted as read. Motion carried unanimously. ARTICLE 39. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appro- priate or take from available funds the sum of $ for the purchase of a two -ton friction type roller to be used for highway maintenance or take any other action thereon. (Submitted by the Highway Department) ACTION: Motion made and seconded to amend Article 39 to reads "To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $3,884.00 for the purchase of a two -ton friction type roller to be used for highway maintenance." Motion carried as amended.
