<br />SPECIAL TOWN MEETING WARRANT
<br />August 9, 1978
<br />THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
<br />To act on the Articles contained in the following warrant:
<br />A quorum of 118 (5% of the number of registered voters)
<br />present, Moderator Frank M. Leonardi called the meeting to
<br />order at 8:30 p.m.
<br />ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to rescind Section 3
<br />of Article VI of Chapter III of the Town of Mashpee By -Laws
<br />which reads:
<br />"Any commercial enterprise seeking to install leased
<br />protective alarm monitoring equipment, or systems, in the
<br />Town Police or Fire Department shall be first required to
<br />furnish a bond to the subscribers of the service in an amount
<br />of $5,000.00 to insure the proper maintenance of equipment,
<br />or systems, furnished by said commercial enterprise. The bond
<br />required herein shall be issued by a bonding company licensed
<br />to issue bonds in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and shall
<br />be in effect during the duration of the lease, or service
<br />' agreement".

<br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 1
<br />as read. A unanimous vote.
<br />ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to establish an
<br />industrial development financing authority for industrial
<br />development purposes, pursuant to Chapter 40D of the Massa-

<br />hereby determined that there is a need for such an authority
<br />and in making this determination, this Town meeting has taken
<br />into consideration the Town's ability to adjust to any expec-
<br />ted increase in the demand for municipal facilities and
<br />services as a result of the expected increase in employment
<br />and business activity from such industrial development.

<br />unanimous vote.
