To see if <br />the Town will vote to make <br />the appropriate <br />and necessary ,findings <br />and declarations pursuant <br />to Chapter 40D <br />of"th'e Massachusetts�General <br />Laws to empower the <br />industrial <br />development financing <br />authority to finance solid <br />waste disposal <br />facilities or take any <br />other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded that the Town, pursuant <br />to Chapter 40D of the Massachusetts General Laws, as amended from <br />time to time, vote to declare that there is a need to empower'the <br />Industrial Development Financing Authority to finance solid waste <br />disposal facilities but said Industrial Development Financing I Authority shall not be empowered to so finance said solid waste <br />disposal facilities except as an incident to industrial develop- <br />ment facilities. Motion carried unanimously. <br />ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to make :the appropriate <br />and necessary findings and declarations pursuant to Qhapterm4OD <br />of the Massachusetts General Laws to empower the industrial <br />development financing authority to finance pollution control <br />facilities or take any other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded that the Town, pursuant <br />to Chapter 40D of the Massachusetts General Laws, as amended from <br />time to time, vote to declare that there is a need to empower the <br />Industrial Development Financing Authority to finance pollution <br />control facilities but said Industrial Development Financing <br />Authority shall not be empowered to so finance said pollution <br />control facilities except as an incident to industrial develop- <br />ment facilities. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />ARTICLE 5. To see if the Town will vote to amend Chapter II, <br />Article XIV, Section 1 of the Town of Mashpee By -Laws by delet- <br />ing the sum 1500.00" wherever it appears therein and substitu- <br />ting therefor the sum "$2,000.00". <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 5 as <br />read. Motion carried by a unanimous vote. <br />ARTICLE 6. To see if the Town will amend Chapter V. Article XIII <br />of Section 6 of the Town of Mashpee By-laws by deleting the <br />period at the end of line three and by adding thereto the follow- <br />ing words at the end of line three: or by a designee of the <br />Boardt?of Selectmen at that time." <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded that Article 6 be accepted <br />as read. A unanimous vote. <br />ARTICLE 7. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Board <br />of Selectmen to grant an easement to New Bedford Gas and Edison <br />Light Company (Cape & Vineyard Division) for the installation and <br />maintenance of an underground electric system over land of the <br />Town of Mashpee for electric service to the new Police and Fire <br />Stations. The easement to be ten (10) feet in width and four <br />hundred two (402) feet in length and to extend from Pole 34/9 at <br />or near the Northerly sideline of Route 151 and extending in a <br />general northerly direction four hundred two (402) feet to a . <br />transformer pad mount numbered 10125/010 at or near the new I Police/Fire Stations in Mashpee and to act fully or to take any <br />other action thereon. <br />ACTION: Motion made and seconded to accept Article 7 as <br />read. Motion is carried. <br />ARTICLE 8. To see if the Town will direct the School Committee <br />to establish a Community School Program in the new Mashpee Middle <br />School, or take any other action thereon. <br />
