Pauline: Has any of the board been down to see. it?
Wayne: I have seen it.
Pauline: I suggest that the board go down and review the site.
Wayne: Is there an alternate for the dock facilities because that is going to set
quite a precedent. Is it possible that it could be moored?
Mr. Bunikis: Well, when you compare a mooring to a fixed facility of this nature, I
don't think the comparison exists because of the hardship of having to use a dinghy to
go out to your boat. We build these things for human beings. I think that the prece-
dent has been set already by the Singer pier. This is nearly identical. I will show
you out of my file. Actually, there were two licenses issued -- one where Mr. Savory
had done it in 1973 showing just a small float. Probably, these people had second
thoughts. Only two years later or a year and a half later, they wanted this configura-
tion of floats(shows the plan to the Board). These floats are pulled up on shore and
stored for the winter. Then there is another dock up northerly of this smaller dock.
Pauline: Requests that a check be made to see which plan was approved in our hearing --
1974 plan; document #1942580 File #43-4, Singer.
Pauline: I believe you notified the abutters. I have two letters that came in from
Florida. One from Mr. Hill and Mr. Hollander both objecting to the placement of the
swimming pool,__
- Mr. Bunikis: Presents proof that he notified abutters. .
Mrs. Raduano: Did they make any suggestions where we should put it?
Mr. Bunikis: I don't think they have that information. I think that this was something
that they have no alternative, to object because of the lack of knowledge of what we are
doing.
Wayne: Mr. Hollander is objecting to both the dock and the swimming pool.
Pauline: Right. Asks Mr. Bunikis and Mr. & Mrs. Raduano if they want to read the letters
as they are public record,
Mr. Bunikis: I have received a letter from Mr. Hollander in Florida. He wrote me a dif-
ferent one than this but very similar to the one I received.
Wayne: In the event of a problem here, are there any alternatives that could be thought of
from Mr. Bunikis. for both the dock and the pool?
Mr. Bunikis: I can mention an alternative to the pool that can still serve the client's
needs as far as gathering around the pool with a mint julep and viewing this beautiful
view out here. Move it over a little bit in this area, perhaps,
Mrs. Raduano: Closer to Hollander's?
Mr. Bunikis: Yes.
Mrs. Raduano: We did not want to view Mr. Hollander's house too closely.
Mr. Bunikis: Well, you have that big fence there.
