Mrs. Raduano: We have great plans -- it is going to be landscaped Jery lushly.
Pauline: Okay, we will take it .under advisement.
Mr. Bunikis: I will furnish you with additional prints.
Pauline: We will need $8 for the legal notice.
Mr. Deane Beggs, River Road
Agent: Phil Holmes, Holmes & McGrath
Pauline: Reads article -- to construct a dwelling, garage and deck and to construct
and maintain a treated timber stairway and landing on the banks of the Mashpee River
in accordance with plans on file with the Conservation Commission.
Mr. Holmes: That advertisement really does explain it. This lot on River Road is two
or three lots beyond where Pem Lane goes off to the river. The property sets well up
above the Mashpee River with a slope down to the river. He desires to put a house there
with a garage. A septic system has been designed which is located well beyond the 100'
limitation. The house itself will be about 92 feet from the wetlands and there it a deck
there which is 10 feet -- which actually makes the distance about 82 feet from the wetland.
In addition, Mr: & Mrs. Beggs would like to have a set of stairs going down to the river.
The septic system will consist of the septic tank distribution box and in this particular
case, it would be float affusers rather than a pit. The sewer pipe will go out of the
house underneath the cellar floor. Therefore, it would be down too deep if we had a pit.
I think that explains it. Those of you who have been there, there are a row of stakes
which have been placed in this area here (shows on plan . They show the 100 foot distance
from the wetlands.
Pauline: There was no way that you couldn't bring this up so that it wouldn't be within
the 100 feet. You have so much area in there. What is the terrain in there, Phil?
Mr. Holmes: The terrain is all good -- all fairly level. I would guess it slopes slightly
down toward River Road.
Pauline: Why don't these people put it beyond the 100 feet instead of going through this
expense.
Dick: He wants to be able to view the river from the deck. He said that when he first
came in and talked with us.
Pauline: It is only a matter of 12 feet back.
Mr. Holmes: That is the only answer. They want to get as close to the water as they can.
Dorothy: Where is the locus.. plan?
Mr. Holmes: I know one was. made with the application.
Pauline: I have it here. What I am asking is why when he has all this property here,
they don't put it back.
