-7-
SEU43-109 and SEh43-110
Jean Pierre Sanchez
Mr. Benway: Did you report to your committee that we met on the lot?
Pauline: I haven't had a chance to.
Mr. Benway: Do you want to report to them and I will wait and see where we go from there?
Pauline: Mr. Benway called me up and asked me to go down and look at the lot because
Mr. Sanchez wanted the best idea of where to place the septic system. It was suggested
up in the highest part of it instead of where he had planned within 40 feet of the marsh
area. So to my knowledge in looking at it, it would be a good idea.
Charles: That won't be that much closer to the water on the other side.
Pauline: No, it is right about in the middle of both.
Mr. Benway: It is at least 75 feet on either side. The lot to the right, standing on the
road looking at the house with the marsh in back and bay in front, is basically okay as
far as the placement except that the diffusers were to be elbowed toward the center of the
lot rather than towards the road. The problem was the left-hand lot's septic. I discussed
it with Sanchez; and, obviously, he doesn't want to go the additional expense until he finds
out where he is at. What he wants to know basically in meeting the Title V requirements in
the new location, is this satisfactory to the Board.
Charles: I would think that it would be. We would like to see a 12 foot deep soil inspec-
."tion to see whether or not we are going to run into clay and we are going to run into peat.
Mr. Benway: You mean dig 12 feet?
Charles: When he comes in for his perk test.
Mr. Benway: When you dig 12 feet there, you will run into water.
Charles: Well, that is all right as long as we know that mixed in with that water is
nothing but sand.
Mr. Benway: There is no question about that.
Charles: That would be the big thing that I would want to know. We have heard so many
hues and cries of whether or not or whether it was at one time or another built whether or
not there would be peat under there.
Mr. Benway: I think that is an unreasonable request;
Mr. Hennigan: I think so too.
Mr. Benway: The fill that has been put in there was for the Wiseman lot next door which
was about 6 feet above. There has been no fill in that area brought in and obviously there
isn't because of this topography. There is no marsh there. There is no marsh vegetation.
Ken: Your house is about the same elevation as that lot, isn't it? (asks Mr. Benway)
Mr. Benway: Yes.
