-6-
Pauline: Have you notified abutters?
Mr. Morse: Yes. I just want to point out that I had approval for a dock when I built
the house. Then I heard of Mr. Braman who was doing a lot of work in this area and he
has pointed out to me that the initial approval was based on plans which were not very
accurate. If you scale this down 1" to 20 feet, there is a float which works out to be
only 5 feet off the shore which would be sitting right on the marsh. There was a stipu-
lation in my Order of Conditions to see if I had to get a new dock approved and that is
why I filed for the new one. Mr. Braman has designed this one and I am going to let him
describe that to you.
Mr. Braman: This is a very similar dock to the one which I have just finished describing
for Mr. 'Breyer. It is practically identical. The elevation of the top is slightly dif-
ferent because the mean tide range is indicated to be slightly less here in the Great
River. In some of these elevations, we have shown the cross sections of the dock in rela-
tion to mean low water. We have shown the topography on the lot in relation to mean sea
level. There is about a foot difference in elevation. The reason being is that Mr. Morse
had a prior survey and we utilized much of that information that he had already gathered.
The dock, although it is 60 feet, actually extends out beyond the mean high water mark. A
50 foot maximum into the river. The river at that point is about 400 feet across.
Wayne: Can we assume on both of these plans that these will be put in exactly as outlined?
Mr. Braman: That is correct. There should be no variance that I can anticipate.
Wayne: As far as the distance into the marsh or into the water, that would all be as
- shown.
Mr. Braman: Actually there are some stakes in the ground where they did that survey. We
will be sure that that is laid out just as it indicates here.
Wayne: How deep are.. those pilings?'..
Mr. Braman: About 10 feet into the ground.
Wayne: Is that what it usually is?
Mr. Braman: Right.
Mr. Braman: Should I contact the Shellfish Warden on this one, too?
Pauline: Yes.
Received from Mr. Morse $20 for SE#43-117 and SE43-118.
Abutters:
Great River Corporation
Box 397
Mashpee, Ma. 09649
Doris D. Salzer
80 Zenith Drive
i, Worcester, Ma. 01602
