-17-
Charles: It still would be compatible.
Pauline: We have the 210 acres which abut the golf course. Mr. Umina is trying to, by
description, overwrite 25 acres into that Mingo lot. This is why I want -- My husband
discovered it when we were out walking one day and we went up there and there were stakes.
I confronted Mr. Umina with it and he didn't know a thing about what I was talking about,
naturally. This could be the vital area.
Charles: That is the area that I am talking of.
Barrier Island Workshop
Pauline: We do not have enough money in our expenses until after July 1st. All we have
is 77.
Barbara: I am going to call Mr. Mayo and see if we or I can go but just on the Wednesday.
Barbara: When Mr. Cohen decides to join us, I would like him to look at that Byrne Sand
and Gravel Co, that is up by him. They are dumping cement on a .very low area. I think
that we should look into that because that is on very low land.
Pauline: They came before us. How many years ago, Dorothy?
-Dorothy: That was when it was Gil-Pam. They didn't come before us; they came before the
Planning Board. It was a planning board hearing and there were certain specifics laid
down. We went to that. I don't know whether or not that permit went with the Byrne Sand
and Gravel sale or did they buy it from the Gil-Pam Company.
Charles: Byrne Sand and Gravel is what we have on record in so far as the air pollution
and whatnot.
Dorothy: Did they inherit it from Gil-Pam?
Barbara: I. think they bought it from what I can remember.
Pauline: I will check into that and see what information we have on it in the files.
Dorothy: Just find out whether their appeal for a variance goes with the sale of the
property.
Pauline: We will check into it.
I SE43-89
New Seabury -- Work on the Golf Course
A letter was sent to DEQE requesting them to come down and review what has been done on
the work on the golf course. Tree limbs, etc. are sticking out.
Minutes of the meeting of April 23, 1980 were accepted as corrected.
