-17-
The Mews, Phase II
Pauline: We received a copy of the plan from Phil Holmes which we requested. The Board
looks at the plan. Charles, how close are they going to come to Jehu Pond?
Charles: Nowhere near there. The thing that is going to come in to play is that I
don't know what they mean by this drainage easement. Shows where the wetlands are.
I think we should know what the distance is from this drainage easement to that wetland.
Pauline: Requests Secretary to write a letter to Phil Holmes asking him what they mean
by a drainage easement and how close to the swamp area it is. (Letter was sent 6/12/80)
Wayne: Explains what a drainage easement is -- all it does is accumulate water off the
road.
Charles: It is a holding area.
Wayne: That is all it it. It is just surface water off the road.
Charles: Send the letter to Mr. Holmes and ask him for an explanation of it.
Personnel Board
James F. Rich was elected as the new Chairman to the Personnel Board, effective immediately)
Marchant Village, New Seabury Corp.
Charles: Marchant Village final prints came in today. There are two of the existing cot-
tages which are on the bluff side of the road which show tentative design changes where
they might be increased. The answer to our queston on whether this is part of the struc-
ture or not was that this would probably be a deck or a patio. But it will be well within
100 feet of the water line. I think it might _be advisable to send them a letter asking
them to check with the Conservation Commission if they intend to carry out any operations
within 100 feet of the water line.
Guidelines for the Town of Barnstable Wetlands
Pauline: I received a letter from Arlene Wilson with the guidelines for the Town of
Barnstable Wetlands, Requests the Secretary to make a copy for each member of the Board
to be reviewed at another time.
Purchase of a Tyvewriter
Pauline: How does the Board feel about the purchase of a decent typewriter?
Wavne: Can we do it under this budget or do we need a special requisition?
Pauline: I just saw this today. There is a large selection of used electric typewriters
