-7-
!.!gyne: Are ,you going to have three floors?
FArle t!a.rsters: -ssentially, yes. The end units, just to make then look good,
a.re flats -- one level, on each end. It kind of gives it a nice flow to the
building. There are a few flats in there where it is one over the other and we
will test those in the first few and see how they market. I think the lowest
that we have are 1200 square feet on a flat and then they share the basement
for storage with the other person. But, the majority of town houses will have
about 2,000 soua.re feet. They are going to be well-designed units with a lot
of energy features. We are going to use heat pumps.
Pauline: What type of finish?
Farle T`arsters : Shingle.
Wayne: Is it a mixed shingle or clapboard?
E-rle Farsters: We haven't really finished off yet. There is going to be a
lot of glass on the South side. Most of it will be shingling. There will be
some areas where we will use siding where we are just filling in between.
Charles: Will you have shower conservers and toilet lora-flush?
Earle ':larsters; Yes, that is to everybody's benefit.
Ken: What is the closest septic tank to the river?
Frank Chine: Shows on the plan where there is one 120 feet away and .another
one which is about 130 feet away.
Crar19s: Tre minimum by five would be 150 to the water line on slope.
Frank C11`.ne: Again, some of these may have to be moved basic.
Charles: I£ you can't make it 3 feet below surface, you have to keep dropping
it.
Frank Chins: Ate_ .-in, as I said, the septic tanks here that are desi?ned were
aporoved in 1975•
Charles: Th?_t Lets wioed out.
Frank Chin: :•!e know that. As I said before, we are going to modify these to
meet the regulations and requirements of Title V. Again, there is really no
problems as we have plenty of room alon_ the side as you can see from the plan.
The last question on Elizabeth Simpson's letter (number 5), I believe I ad-
dressed in my earlier remarks. I`. says the Santuit River is a herring run and
also an area where there is considerable crabbing during the season. Any con-
struction and residential use of the size contemplated is bound to have resid-
ual effects on the Waters or S'oestrilnE Bay and the Santuit River. Again,
through planting, We are going to restore a lot of the natural erosion controls
in the area. During construction, we plan to use the snow fences and put hay
bales to eliminate seaimen.tation. Ana, lastly, we are going to use the leach-
ing catch b-sins as the roadway drainage and also to take care of the roof
drains. We are doing everything piossble to mini-,ize the actual impact on
Santuit iiver of erosions, pollutantsor any types of other impacts.
