New Business <br /> Update on Capital Improvement._Bond <br /> Catherine provided a listing of capital improvement bond projects that were approved at May <br /> Town Meeting totaling$1.5 Million. Catherine said of this approved funding, so far Town will <br /> be spending approximately$150,000 this year and the balance will be spent next year. <br /> Catherine advised that through Cape light Compact and Green Communities grant the upgraded <br /> lighting at Quashnet School and KC Coombs School will be paid entirely through the grant, <br /> which costs amount to $250,000. <br /> Fire Surplus <br /> Catherine reported that when the Fire Substation was built the Town realized a surplus of <br /> funding in the amount of$254,000. The surplus funds can be applied to Fire/Police projects. <br /> Catherine presented a list of those projects to be done. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Joe Brait motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of September 13, 2016; Tom O'Neill <br /> seconded the motion. <br /> Vote: 3 Yes; 1 Abstain. <br /> Steve Cook,yes. Geoffrey Gorman,abstain. <br /> Meeting Schedule <br /> Catherine suggested that PCC will probably need to meet monthly, particularly since invoices <br /> will be generated and have to be approved by this Committee. The consensus of the Committee <br /> was to meet the third Thursday of the month. Meetings were scheduled for August and <br /> September as follows: <br /> • 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Town Hall. <br /> • 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at Town Hall. <br /> 2 <br />
