the Commission that vinyl windows for the dormer would match the current replacement
windows on the rest of the building. Mr. Robbins recommended that the DPW consider using a
smaller 1/2" grid to match the rest of the windows. Ms. Laurent will consult with Mr. Robbins
regarding the final choice for the windows once the bids have been considered.
In order to rebuild the dormers, Ms. Laurent has recommended the Azac trim and cedar
clapboard painted plank, but was recently recommended to consider a HardiPlank for the siding.
Mr. Robbins agreed that the HardiPlank would require no maintenance with an identical look.
The Commission also felt that the cupola needs a top, such as a weathervane. Ms. Laurent does
not recall having a weathervane. Mr. Mills recalls only some sort of a small ball. Mr. Fudala
would like to check historical photos. The cupola was painted recently in the last two years.
While up there, the DPW will touch up any necessary painting.
Mr. Fudala described the requests related to Mashpee Town Hall so that the Commission could
vote on the proposed alterations.
1. Use of an architectural shingle in a shade of dark grey to be verified at a later date by
Mr. Robbins.
2. Use of 6 over 6 vinyl windows, in a flat casing, with a narrow window grid
3. Dormers rebuilt with Azac trim and HardiPlank boards, refer to Mashpee Town Hall
building plans.
Motion made by Mr. Robbins to accept the proposal as stated. Ms. Laurent hopes to award the contract at Monday's Board of Selectmen
meeting.
Mr. Robbins made a motion to waive the fee for the Town Hall application. Motion
seconded by Ms. Spencer.
