8 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 27, 2017 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Approval of Seasonal Population Estimate: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Town Planner dated February 21, 2017 regarding the overnight <br /> July 10, 2017 population estimate for submission to the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission. <br /> The 34,352 estimate is based on year round and summer residents. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cotton to approve the Temporary Increased Population of the Town <br /> of Mashpee as of July 10, 2017 to be 34,352. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> Review and approval of Draft 41 of the May 2017 Annual and Special Town Meeting Warrants: <br /> The Board of Selectmen conducted an initial review of Draft 41 of the Mashpee 2017 Special and <br /> Annual Town Meeting warrants. It is anticipated the warrant would be reassessed and fully acted upon <br /> at the Selectmen's Meeting of March 6, 2017. The following action was taken; <br /> Special Town Meeting Warrant: <br /> Article 41: To use excess bond proceeds from the Fire Sub-Station construction project <br /> $174,000 for Police Station Improvements. HELD; Language Amendment <br /> It was agreed the article would be further clarified regarding the use of this funding. <br /> For informational purposes it was noted $144,000 would fund the reconstruction of the <br /> parking lot and $30,000 would fund the replacement of the two-story addition roof at <br /> the Police Station. <br /> Projects directly related to the Fire Station permissible for immediate use with excess <br /> bond proceeds include the replacement of the generator in the amount of$50,000 and <br /> the upgrade of HVAC controls $30,000 at the main Fire Station. The total funding <br /> available for use is $254,000. <br />
