3 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 6, 2017 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Hearing: FY 2018 Capital Improvement Program: (continued) <br /> The CIP program for fiscal year 2018 is referenced as Article 43 on the Annual May Town Meeting <br /> warrant. Being no comment, the Board motioned to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to support the Capital Improvement Program for Fiscal <br /> Year 2018 in the amount of$812,167 as submitted. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br /> COMMUNICATIONS & CORRESPONDENCE <br /> Review of Chairman's letter to Cape Cod Technical School: <br /> To address the concerns of the families and students who attended the last Selectmen's Meeting, <br /> and to consider future costs and plans for the new facility, Selectman Gottlieb read aloud a draft <br /> letter dated March 6, 2017 to the School Superintendent and School Committee of the Cape Cod <br /> Technical High School. The letter recognizes the importance of a technical high school education, <br /> and conveys concern regarding the costs in providing a technical school education. <br /> Discussion followed with regards to the intent of the letter. It was recommended the Board of <br /> Selectman Chair work with the Town Manager to further refine the letter to be signed by all <br /> respective members of the Board of Selectmen. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to support sending a letter to the Cape Cod Technical <br /> School, first and last paragraph, with modifications thereof to be signed by all Board of <br /> Selectmen members. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb, yes Selectman Cahalane, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes <br /> Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman Sherman, yes Opposed, none <br />
