Taylor <br /> Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Gottlieb at 6:30 p.m. <br /> Mashpee Town Hall, Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> MINUTES <br /> Wedtigiday,March 22 2017 Regplar Session and Monda March 27 2017 Regular Session: <br /> Motion made by Selectman Sherman to approve the minutes of Wednesday,March 22,2017 and <br /> Monday,March 27,2017 as presented. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman O'Hara. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman O'Hara,yes <br /> Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes Opposed,none <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> Public Comment: None at this time. <br /> Approval of various applications: <br /> Mash ee Commons 2017 Summer Events Schedule MM Derr: <br /> Mary Derr,Marketing Director of Mashpee Commons was before the Board to review the annual <br /> list of summer events planned to be held in Mashpee Commons in calendar year 2017. The <br /> schedule is similar to past events. Activities include block party events, sidewalk sales, and live <br /> entertainment. This season the block party events will be combined with the sidewalk festivals. Live <br /> entertainment includes jugglers,musicians and a bouncy play area for the children. <br /> With respect to the liability associated to the use of a bouncy play area, it was disclosed the Town's <br /> Insurance; MIIA has requested the Town of Mashpee abstain in terms of sponsorship of bounce-house <br /> related activities. It was recommended that Mashpee Commons further review the liabilities associated <br /> to this type of event in the matter of safety. Ms. Derr was in agreement, and indicated if it is warranted, <br /> an alternative activity would be planned for the children. <br /> Some of the events in Mashpee Commons coordinated by other agencies would require specific <br /> approval from the Board of Selectmen at a separate meeting for one-day liquor licenses. <br />
