Collins requested the Board <br /> of Selectmen support the request of the Mashpee DPW for a temporary sign permit for the annual <br /> Hazardous Waste Collection scheduled to be held on Saturday,August 19, 2017 from 9:00 a.m.to 1:00 <br /> p.m. at the Mashpee Middle/High School. Five 24"x 18" signs are proposed to be placed at the <br /> Mashpee Transfer Station,the Mashpee Town Hall,Mashpee Municipal Police&Fire Complex, <br /> Mashpee Middle/High School and at the Heritage Park recreational facility to announce the hazardous <br /> products collection. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the Temporary Sign Permit of the Mashpee DPW <br /> for the annual Hazardous Waste Collection on Saturday,August 19,2017. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Opposed,none <br /> Application for special event, Mashpee Pumpkin Patch,Mashpee Congregational Church: <br /> Brad Sweet was in attendance representing the Mashpee Congregational Church to request permission to <br /> hold the Annual Mashpee Pumpkin Patch on Frank E. Hicks Drive on the lawn area between Route 151 <br /> and the multi-use path/Police Station between September 15, 2017 (start of set up)through October 31, <br /> 2017. <br /> The event held for the past five years at the SouthCape complex is a major fundraiser for the Church. <br /> The project would assist single mothers in the Town of Mashpee,provide for dinners over the holidays, <br /> grant assistance the Boys &Girls Club and other similar local initiatives. Over 3,000 pumpkins are <br /> planned to be sold during this event which aspires volunteerism and unity in the Town of Mashpee. <br /> The application was approved by various Town departments with stipulations recommended by <br /> the DPW and Board of Health outlined in a memorandum dated July 20, 2017 from Terrie M. Cook, <br /> Administrative Assistant to the Board of Selectmen and Town Manager. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the Special Event Application of the Mashpee <br /> Congregational Church to hold the Annual Mashpee Pumpkin Patch on Frank E.Hicks Drive as <br /> referenced; seven days per week between September 15,2017 through October 31,2017. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Sherman. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Selectman O'Hara,yes Selectman Cotton,yes Selectman Sherman,yes <br /> Selectman Gottlieb,yes .
