The Hearing notice
was read aloud into the record in accordance with posting procedures.
After hearing complaints of loud music emanating from Dino's Sports Bar,the Board of Selectmen took
action to schedule a Public Hearing on this matter. Constantinos Mitrokostas (Dino), manager and
owner of record of Finally Dino's was in attendance with his counsel Kevin Kirrane to offer comment.
The Board of Selectmen solicited testimonial from residents who spoke in concern to the noise levels,
and from residents in support of the area business and entertainment offered at the subject establishment.
Virginia Scharfenberg, 3 Pequot Avenue initiated the discussion stating that Dino has not abided by
last summer's agreement to manage the level of noise. Ms. Scharfenberg stated the noise levels have
gone back to square one. This season's outdoor entertainment has been very loud, especially with
certain bands. Ms. Scharfenberg noted the bands play with their backs to Route 151. This tends to force
the sound of the music upwards over the roof to the area homes. As a modification, Ms. Scharfenberg
suggested the musicians face Route 151. Ms. Scharfenberg also recommended the establishment
maintain the use their internal sound system only and to abide by the 2016 agreement.
