TOWN OF MASHPEE PLANNING BOARD
A meeting was held on August 16, 1972, at Mashpee Town Hall at 8: 00 P.M.
Members in Attendance:
Earle Marsters, Chairman
Harold Collins
Joseph Delaney
Richardson Jonas
William Lehmann'
Mr. Leonard Peck submitted a Approval Not Required plan for 1 lot off
Shoestring Bay. The plan was approved and signed.
Mr. Charles Savery requested that the original plan of the sub-division
of Richard Powers and Paul Casey be signed by the Board and left with
the Town Clerk so that he could pick it up at the expiration of the
mandatory 20 days . The Board investigated and found that. all conditions
stipulated in a public hearing had been complied with and therefore the
plan was signed and delivered to the Town Clerk. Mr. Savery is to de-
liver the covenant when the plan is picked up.
Mr. Savery submitted a Approval Not Required Plan for Miner Pederson which
proposed the reduction of a non conforming lot on Seconsett Island. The
Board obtain the opinion of the Town Counsel that a non-conforming lot
could not be altered unless it conforms with the current zoning. This lot
does not have the minimum frontage required and therefore the Board dis-
approved the plan and Mr. Lehmann will so notify the applicants by regis-
tered mail.
A public hearing was held as a continuance of the hearing on August 2, 1972,
concerning New Seabury sub-division on Mid Iron and Brassie Ways . All con-
ditions mentioned at the previous public hearing have been met, and the
conservation restriction was given to the Town Counsel for his review. The
Town Counsel is to notify us if there is any problem, otherwise we will as-
sume his approval .
Mr. Donald Lakeman requested that the Town Engineer inspect a portion of
his sib-division as of August 30, 1972 and estimate the cost of the remain-
ing road construction. After obtaining this cost he will submit a bond to
the Town Counsel prior to September 6th so that it may be approved by the
Board at the September 6th meeting.
-- 1 --
