DIRECTORS REPORT <br /> April-2011 <br /> MEETINGS <br /> The Director attended the following meetings over the past several months: Upper Cape <br /> Consortium, Cape Coast, Human Services Committee, Town Department Head, <br /> Barnstable County Human Service, MCOA Statewide Meeting, Hoarding Taskforce, etc. <br /> OPERATING BUDGET <br /> The town's 2011 fiscal year ends on June 30, 2011. Early indications are that the COA <br /> will come under budget in both salaries and expenses with several thousand dollars left in <br /> the expense budget due to use of the formula grant for certain energy expenses. <br /> FORMULA GRANT <br /> Currently, we expect a rate of$6.50 per capita for 2012. <br /> TOWN BUDGET <br /> The town operating was funded on a level basis for 2012 at town meeting. The revolving <br /> account was re-approved. <br /> MEN'S BOOK CLUB <br /> A Men's Book Club started in March with several attendees. <br /> KITCHEN FREEZER <br /> The freezer required repair®a cost of$1,500.00 <br /> MATURE WORKERS <br /> Kevin Murphy who has acted as a custodian under the Mature Worker Program will be <br /> leaving on May 20 and relocating to Pembroke, MA. We wish him well. <br /> GARDENING GROUP <br /> As you know, a gardening group was formed here at the senior center and the group will <br /> be doing some container gardening around the building. Dollars have been allocated from <br /> the Revolving account for the purpose of funding up this activity. There have been <br /> several donations of materials made toward this program by participants. <br /> FIT& FUN EXPO. <br /> We assigned Maria Sullivan the task of upgrading our Health Fair. She came up with the <br /> idea of the "FIT & FUN EXPO" and we went with it. It is scheduled for July 12`h. <br />
