DIRECTORS REPORT <br /> July-2011 <br /> MEETINGS <br /> The Director attended the following meetings over the past several months: Upper Cape <br /> Consortium, Cape Coast, Human Services Committee, Town Department Head, MCOA <br /> Statewide Meeting, Hoarding Taskforce, CIRCA, Aging with Dignity, Cape Cod <br /> Volunteers, Formula Grant Training, etc. <br /> OPERATING BUDGET <br /> The town's 2011 fiscal year ended on June 30, 2011. Early indications are that the COA <br /> came under budget in both salaries and expenses with several thousand dollars left in the <br /> expense budget due to use of the formula grant for certain energy expenses. Final reports <br /> will be available next week. <br /> FORMULA GRANT <br /> Currently, we expect a rate of$6.50 per capita for 2012 against an estimate of 4473 <br /> seniors in Mashpee. 2012 Formula Grant request due in early August. <br /> TOWN BUDGET <br /> The town operating was funded on a level basis for 2012 at town meeting. The revolving <br /> account was re-approved. <br /> FIT & FUN EXPO. <br /> Scheduled for July 12 and will be reported at meeting. <br /> TAX ABATEMENT POSITION <br /> I am using the Tax Abatement Program for a 75 hour volunteer custodian over the next <br /> several months. <br /> EXCEL <br /> The Director attended a 12 hour course given over four sessions on EXCEL at the <br /> Sandwich Community School. <br /> THOMAS TRUST <br /> The Helen Thomas Trust has left $7,500.00 to the Donation account. <br />
