Update on MSBA Accelerated Repair Program window/roof project at S continued <br /> Catherine said if the new procurement process is done, it still goes for bid but is a slightly <br /> different process in submitting proposals. Catherine will keep PCC advised. Catherine said she <br /> has informed Town Counsel and the Town Manager. Board of Selectmen must approve of this <br /> approach. <br /> Tom O'Brien commented that this would be a good way for the Town to try this and it probably <br /> will be better in the long run. Joe Brait totally agreed with this approach. <br /> Tom O'Brien asked whether or not Town could hire their own liaison to do quality control. <br /> Catherine responded that is the role of the Project Manager who is already on board. <br /> New Business <br /> Approval of Payment of Invoices <br /> Two invoices for Quashnet School Window/Roof project work up through the end of July were <br /> submitted for approval. <br /> Motion: Joe Brait motioned to approve the invoice of Expertcon, Inc. in the amount of <br /> $7,100.00 and the invoice of Raymond Design in the amount of$122,339.50,for a total amount <br /> of$129,939.50. Tom O'Neill,yes. <br /> Update on Capital Improvement Bond <br /> Catherine provided a listing of capital improvement bond projects scheduled Summer-2017 and <br /> Summer-2018. <br /> Planning Construction Fy 18-FY23 Capital Budget <br /> Catherine provided update of the Planning Construction budget. She recommended item PC-1 <br /> for replacement of flooring in the amount of$50,000 for FY-19 since carpet/flooring has to be <br /> replaced. Joe Brait said lately they are using 2X2 tiles. Catherine said that is what Town is <br /> using. Patty DeBoer asked about replacing High School library carpet. Catherine said that DPW <br /> communicates with the school Principal and requests priority list. Joe Brait of the Sheriff's <br /> office offered labor services for doing the replacement flooring. <br /> Tom O'Brien suggested perhaps DPW new building could be recommended if done as a model <br /> energy building. Catherine responded that with Quashnet School, Cape Tech, and Sewer,the <br /> timing is not good to seek financial support for DPW building. <br /> Catherine said for 2021 she is adding the project converting the High School stadium to artificial <br /> turf. She said we do have to re-surface the track there. Estimate cost: $1,5 Million. Catherine <br /> said artificial surface field is excluded by CPC.
