AMW MW i r�� + * ' own x Mass.v''`` ' ` ANCE COMMITTEE FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES Town Hall March 11 , 1986 Present : Finance Committee members , Frederic Blythe , Carol uni.van , Carl Heller , Joyce Howell , Lou Hronel , Elizabeth Terry , and William Towner and the Town Accountant , Vern Polka 4 The Finance Committee meeting convened at 6 p . m. Edward artin , Fire Chief , attended the meeting to discuss the Fire and fescue Department FY87 budget .. , Robert e o y , , Arthur*. for-ley , and Ben Lofchie , Assessors attended the meeting to explain their FY7 budget . There was discussion regarding the gage account and the large increase' requested for Career 'Recall . Chief Hartin explained that it was the aim of the -Department - to maintain a four-man minimum for coverage . The Finance Committee recommended that the Career Recall Wage cost should be level funded at the F86FY86 appropriated amount of .54. 'The total wages would b $175 , 853 . 00 , Chief Martin explained the expense account figures . The greatest increases were in Fire Suppression and Fire Prevention . The Fire Suppression expense account would now include the maintenance of a new fire apparatus. - The increase in Fire Prevention was due to the inclusion of a new Deputy Chief ' vehicle and mileage . Chairman Blythe recommended that the Expense Account be level funded to the FY86 appropriated amount with the addition of new expenses . The Finance Committee agreed the Expense Account should be $107 , 000. 00 The- following amounts were recommended by the Finance Committee for the Fire and Rescue Department FY87 budget .
