To it of Aaqbppr <br /> 5 <br /> ' low ioatt <br /> ANCE COMMITTEE <br /> Finance Committee Minutes <br /> January 14 1985 w <br /> Present : Frederic Blythe, Lou Hronek, Avis McKinley and William Towner. <br /> Absent : Jane Peterson, David Roddy and Elizabeth Terry <br /> Several epa.rtmen ' Heads attended the meetinga.nd discussed the <br /> Special Town Meeting warrant as follows <br /> #1 . $11,,500 to conduct a study of recharge zones of Santuit Pond, <br /> Hamblin ' Pond, Jehu Pond and ock ray Bay. Mr. Fuda.la., Town <br /> Planner felt a study of the ground water flow r into and out <br /> of several ponds was necessary - would also be used by the <br /> Board of Health. Mr. Fudala has received only one proposal , <br /> - The Board of Selectmen agreed with the Finance Committee <br /> that three additional proposals be obta.in.ed prior to the <br /> meeting. <br /> #16 . $50 ,000 to the Conservation Fund. Jean Thomas reported <br /> that approximately $8000 is .presently in the account, and <br /> the committee felt they would like to have an additional <br /> $50 ,000 should someone want to sell their property. Funds <br /> from the sale of cranberries would not be available until <br /> August, and the committee would like to have the funds in <br /> their account this spring. Mme. Blythe felt the town should <br /> not- spend all of the free cash before the annual town meeting <br /> . <br /> and would prefer funding the account at that time when the <br /> total financial picture would be known. Vern Polka felt <br /> that $16o .000 would be available for the annual meeting <br /> if $50 ,000 was approved by the Finance Committee along with <br /> .the other goner articles in the February 11 warrant , The <br /> Board of Selectmen and Finance Committee will discuss this <br /> article prior to the special town meeting to determine the <br /> amount of free cash available . <br /> #17 . Transfer parcel of land to the Maushpee Housing Authority. <br /> Approximately $1000 will be requested to put the bounds in. <br /> 418 . Change the Health Agent from Grade 15 to Grade 20 . Mr. Buck- <br /> ingham., Board of Health, stated that Health Agents on the <br /> Cape are currently averaging $-22,000 annually. The Board <br /> would like to increase the agent ' salry from $326 weekly <br /> to $368 for- an annual salary of $19,000 . <br /> #19 . Assistant Health Agent position. This individual would meed <br /> some college credits, and would do field work and record <br /> keeping. <br />
