All <br /> articles were unanimously approved unless otherwise noted. Total amount of all <br /> articles - $146,740.59; free cash $12,263.59, $2500 sharing and $23,997.00 from <br /> other sources. <br /> 1. Highway contract, $11,797.50 from revenue available. overall increase is 5 1/2 . <br /> In the old contract there were three steps in grade; five steps in grade in new <br /> contract 2 year contract) . Approved. <br /> 2, Clerical contract, $15,241.20 from -revenue available year contract) . Approved. <br /> . Attaquiin Park, Improvement, $5655.00. Jane Peterson felt the task, force has worked <br /> hard and did a good job. Proposal called for brushing incre .sedpolice patrol, and <br /> to cut off car accesses. The committee agreed to fund one more year. <br /> 4. To create a - ? ashpee Community Center Authority, A motion was made and seconded <br /> to approve article. After discussing the cost to improve and maintain the <br /> building, the committee voted not to approve the article. It was felt that if <br /> a community center was needed, perhaps another building could be enlarged, such <br /> as the senior Center building. <br /> 5. Transfer the control of the old town hall to the Ma hpee Community Center <br /> Authority. Not recommended. <br /> . Raze and demolish the old town hall. Unanimously approved. <br /> 7. Abolish an ancient way and accept a gift of land, at the New seabury shopping <br /> Center, from Fields Point. This would allow Field Point to build shops and a <br /> parking lot on the ancient way. In return, Fields Point would give the town <br /> a road between Route 151 and Route 2 , Approved. <br /> . Transfer $50,000 from revenue available to the stabilization Fund. This fund <br /> can be used for everything except wages. <br /> 9. Transfer from revenue available, a sum of money to retain the services of a <br /> consultant to perforin a management and manpower study of the police department. <br /> Bids are not due until. February 15. Finance Committee recommendations will be <br /> at the meeting after reviewing the figures. <br />
