The Board of Selectmen were present for part of the meeting. <br /> The Special Town Meeting articles not recommended at the November 14, 1984 meeting <br /> were discussed and voted as follows: <br /> 2. . vehicle for the Fire Chief - no bids were received in time for the meeting. <br /> , . Communication system - specs were not drawn up in time - indefinitely postponed. <br /> -5. Full time secretary for several boards would not include the Board of Appeals. <br /> Vote taken to recommend at 11/14 meeting. <br /> 7. Copy machine - $5996 to bidder that met specs; one lower bid but did not moot <br /> specifications. Jane Peterson moved to recommend; unanimous vote. <br /> . Sura of money to Legal ' and Engineering account - inde f in i t ly postponed. <br /> lo. "Right to Know" law - will be indefinitely postponed per Board of Selectmen. <br /> 14. Stabilization Fund unanimous vote to recommend $50,000. <br /> 15. Pension,-Reserve Fund-unanimous vote to recommend $50,000, Joseph Murphy, Executive <br /> Secretary, after reviewing the law on the pension fund, felt- it would be safe t <br /> put money into the account at this time. <br /> 16. Amend PAP plan to change the Building inspector from Grade 20 to Grade 25. <br /> The Personnel Board was against the upgrade to 25; all boards agreed to upgrade <br /> the posti n to Step 1, Grade 23 unanimous vote by the Finance Committee. <br /> 18. Septage lagoon engineering study $60,000 t $66,200 -needed. Amount actually <br /> needed will not be known until December 3. <br /> 23. $900.90 to the Assistant Tax lllect r Treasurer and Clerical Salaries Account. <br /> The Board of Selectmen and the Personnel Board recommended the upgrading of <br /> .positions; Finance Committee unanimous vote to recommend. <br /> . Create a new 20 hour weekly position in the Tax Collector's office. Anne Shaw, <br /> Tax Collector, spoke on this article. She felt there is a need for someone <br /> to work from 10 am to 2 pm. This person will be eligible to participate in <br /> Blue Cross, but not in the pension plan. The yearly salary would be $7600 <br /> including benefits. Elizabeth Terry moved to recommend article; unanimous <br /> vote. <br />
