No Name Calling Day-Jane Emery and students from the Quashnet School have supported legislation <br /> for No Name Calling Day. The bill is still being considered and Ms. Farren will forward a list of <br /> legislators for Committee members to contact in support of the bill. Committee members suggested <br /> Ms,. Farren contact the paper requesting the publication of No Name Calling Day information and the <br /> Calendar Art Contest. <br /> Department of Justice-Community Relations Training: <br /> Ms. Davis, from the Department of Justice,has met with many representatives from Mashpee town <br /> offices to discuss the availability of training and mediation from Amy Albert. The Town Manager has <br /> expressed interest in receiving the training in the spring. Ms. Davis discussed people's perception and <br /> interpretation of discrimination or hate crime violence. Ms. Farren has a copy of a Community <br /> Dialogue Guide involving a discussion of Race. The Police Chief expressed interest in training for the <br /> Police Department. <br /> ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> Marilyn Rollins, a former member of the Committee,requested a program about the Affirmative <br /> Action Committee.
