Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> August 18, 2003 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AICD HEARINGS: <br /> Review of Building Construction Fees: <br /> Selectman 1larsters stepped down for the above referenced agenda topic. <br /> Russ Wheeler, Building Inspector was present to discuss the newly revised <br /> wilding Department Schedule of Fees. It was noted that the format was <br /> revised to make it more user friendly. Minor fee increases were <br /> incorporated into the construction fee schedule. <br /> i <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to accept the Building <br /> Department Schedule of Fees as submittedf <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: 3-1. <br /> Selectman Taylor In opposition, Selectman Mar tens absent. <br /> Leisure S ervice Department: <br /> Selectman Taylor stepped down for issues pertaining to the Leisure <br /> Services Department. <br /> Revolving Review: <br /> Gus Frederick,, Director of Leisure services was in attendance to clarify <br /> expenses associated to the departments revolving account. Issues relative <br /> to motor vehicle mileage reimbursement, cellular phone bills, and related <br /> purchases to run effective programs in the school were disclosed. <br /> The Selectmen requested the Leisure Services Department take the <br /> initiative to implement recommendations as set forth by the Town <br /> Auditor. Proposals to better service the department include use of a cash <br /> register with a tape receipt for accountability of dally balances, and the <br /> development of a departmental procedural manual. The matter will be <br /> reviewed by the selectmen in two weeks. <br />
