{ <br /> Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> Meeting Minutes <br /> November 2, 2015 at 6:30 pm <br /> Mashpee Town.Hall <br /> Present: Chairman Walter Abbott, Berkeley Johnson, Allan Isbitz <br /> Absent: Marie Stone, Bruce Willard <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Chairman Abbott opened the meeting at 6:37 p.m. with a quorum and the roll was called. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES-September 1, 2015 & October b, 2015 <br /> Mr. Johnson made a motion to approve the September 1' minutes. Mr. Isbitz seconded the <br /> motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> There was no quorum of attending members present to approve the October 6 minutes. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> Feasibility Study 950 Old Falmouth Road <br /> The Chair reported that he was in receipt of an October 19 update from Horsley Witten. The <br /> Chair read the memo to the Committee regarding work that had been completed. A draft report <br /> was expected at the end of next week. Chairman Abbott referenced the group Cape Cod Young <br /> Professionals which has been very active and has a committee addressing housing needs. The <br /> Chair suggested inviting a representative to a future meeting once the study results have been <br /> received. Additionally, the group may be helpful in offering their support for affordable housing <br /> Articles to be heard at Town Meeting, The Chair will follow up with a contact of the <br /> organization. <br /> Bridges of Mashpee <br /> Chairman Abbott stated that he had not been in receipt of the contact name fi-om the Town <br /> Manager. The Chair did speak with Michelle Springer, a former Committee member, who <br /> referred the Chair to another contact familiar with Bridges of Mashpee and whether the <br /> affordable units would qualify for Mashpee affordable housing units. The Chair will follow up <br /> for more information. It was likely that the units would not qualify as affordable units towards <br /> Mashpee's count. <br /> Mashpee Commons <br /> The Chair indicated that there had been little activity at Mashpee Commons other than hydro- <br /> seeding the park. The foundations have been in place for at least one year. Mr. Isbitz pointed <br /> out that as a 40B project, they would be on file with DHCD. The Chair noted that their permit <br /> likely had a deadline. The Chair also noted that a memory unit would be constructed across the <br /> street, adjacent to the Mobil station, but the issue of crossing Route 28 was still being <br /> considered. <br /> r <br />
