Mr. Isbitz seconded the
motion. All voted unanimously.
There was no quorum of attending members present to approve the October 6 minutes.
OLD BUSINESS
Feasibility Study 950 Old Falmouth Road
The Chair reported that he was in receipt of an October 19 update from Horsley Witten. The
Chair read the memo to the Committee regarding work that had been completed. A draft report
was expected at the end of next week. Chairman Abbott referenced the group Cape Cod Young
Professionals which has been very active and has a committee addressing housing needs. The
Chair suggested inviting a representative to a future meeting once the study results have been
received. Additionally, the group may be helpful in offering their support for affordable housing
Articles to be heard at Town Meeting, The Chair will follow up with a contact of the
organization.
Bridges of Mashpee
Chairman Abbott stated that he had not been in receipt of the contact name fi-om the Town
Manager. The Chair did speak with Michelle Springer, a former Committee member, who
referred the Chair to another contact familiar with Bridges of Mashpee and whether the
affordable units would qualify for Mashpee affordable housing units. The Chair will follow up
for more information. It was likely that the units would not qualify as affordable units towards
Mashpee's count.
Mashpee Commons
The Chair indicated that there had been little activity at Mashpee Commons other than hydro-
seeding the park. The foundations have been in place for at least one year. Mr. Isbitz pointed
out that as a 40B project, they would be on file with DHCD. The Chair noted that their permit
likely had a deadline. The Chair also noted that a memory unit would be constructed across the
street, adjacent to the Mobil station, but the issue of crossing Route 28 was still being
considered.
r
