t <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 2 , 2003 <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> Operation of Transfer Station: <br /> Catherine Laurent, Assistant DPW Director was present to discuss options <br /> and specifications related to the operation of the Mashpee Transfer <br /> Station. Contract alternatives include the extension of the contract for the <br /> fifth year and second year for the hauling of recyclables, the re-bid of the <br /> contract and renegotiation of the Transfer Station contract. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to extend the contract with <br /> Coastal waste Management for the fifth year at$325,900 and related <br /> second year contract for hauling estimated to cost $30,000. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: 'Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Acting Police Chief--MPS Software Agreement: <br /> Al Todino, Acting Chief of Police presented revised specifications to the <br /> Selectmen relative to the Police Department's IMC computer mairitenance <br /> agreement, <br /> r <br /> Correspondence was received from the Information Management <br /> Corporation dated February 11, 2003 summarizing the understanding. As <br /> disclosed, the Town of Mashp e would be billed for the maintenance <br /> agreement on a yearly basis each July 1 , beginning with the year 2003, a <br /> sura of$149925. It was conveyed that the annual maintenance fee would <br /> be held for up to fire years if accepted. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to rescind past action and <br /> accept the IMC Computer Maintenance bid as disclosed for one year. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman darter . <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to accept the purchase of <br /> software for the Police Department for dispatch and record keeping, <br /> and the annual maintenance agreement with IMC for up to Dive gears. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />
