(continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to review and consider each <br /> position vacancy on an individual and case by case basis. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahaiane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS; <br /> Director of Public Works y---Discharge Elimination Permit: <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works was present to recommend the <br /> Selectmen approve the rational Pollutant Discharge Elimination System <br /> (NPDES) Permit. Under the Clean Water Act, approved regulations <br /> govern the control of storm water in an effort to cntmnue the process of <br /> improving the quality of water bodies. <br /> The mandatory program is divided into two phases. Under Phase 11,the <br /> Town of 1lahpee is required to submit an application and notice of intent <br /> for discharges from small municipal separate storm water systems. MS4s <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to support the NPDES Permit <br /> and authorize the Chairman of the Board of&Ieetmen to execute the <br /> permit application under Phase H on behalf of the full Board of <br /> Selectmen. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marter . <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br />
