Board ofSelectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 2 , 2003 <br /> Town Meeting warrant—Draft 1: <br /> The Selectmen received draft#1 of the Annual May Town Meeting <br /> arrant. Articles pertaining to the warrant of May 5, 2003 will be further <br /> reviewed at the next scheduled meeting. <br /> King Philip Ball: <br /> The Tribal Council extended the invitation to members of the Board of <br /> Selectmen to attend the Ding Philip Ball on Saturday. Further details o <br /> the event may be obtained by calling the Tribal Council Office. <br /> Town Audit; <br /> Sub-committee representatives met with the Town Auditors today t <br /> review activities associated to the'Town audit. Findings of the audit will <br /> be discussed formally with the full Board of Selectmen, <br /> OLD S INE S S <br /> Advertisin2 of Vacancies: <br /> The Board of Selectmen considered the following positions for <br /> advertisement; <br /> Clerk—Town Clerk 1 hours) <br /> Administrative Secretary—Leisure Services 19 hours) <br /> Circulation Assistant—(35 hours) <br /> An in-depth discussion followed with respect to the existing and vacant <br /> positions as referenced, It was noted that funding for the disclosed <br /> vacancies are contained in the FY04 budget. <br /> Budgetary constraints were carefully considered as each position was <br /> reviewed. It was recommended that the position of Circulation.Assistant <br /> to the.Library be considered as two nineteen hour per week positions. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Marsters to not fill any vacancies at this <br /> time due to budgetary constraints. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Uveille. <br /> VOTE: -2. Motion carries. <br /> Selectman Green, Selectman Cahalane in opposition. <br />
