Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 2 , Zoo <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Recommendation for Appointment-Waterwgys Commission: <br /> Correspondence was received from the Waterways Commission dated <br /> March 5. 2003 recommending the appointment of Tiny Leedham to fill the <br /> vacancy created by the resignation of Neil Barney. <br /> letter of interest was received from Mr. Leedharn dated January 10, <br /> 2003 seeking appointment. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Green to appoint Tim ieedbam to the <br /> Waterways Commission. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o, <br /> Request to pill vacancy—Waterways.Assistants: <br /> The Selectmen were in receipt of a request from the Harbormaster for the <br /> appointment of two Waterways Assistants. The general function of the <br /> Waterways Assistant is to patrol all waterways in the Town and enforce all <br /> waterway boating and shellfish laws. The seasonal position also assists <br /> with the enforcement of the herring run. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Leveille to approve the position vacancy <br /> request to employ temporary part-timeWaterway"s.Assistants as <br /> described. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cabalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> lie ue t to Fill Vacant --Historical Commission: <br /> The Historical Conmr fission submitted a request to the Selectmen for the <br /> appointment of a temporary part-time clerk, 8 hours per week to fill the <br /> vacant position, <br /> The Selectmen agreed to utilize the services of the Town Hall floating <br /> clerk to assist with the clerical needs of the Historical Commission for a <br /> minimum o 30days in an effort to conform to budgetary constraints. <br /> 5 <br />
