4 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 24, 2003 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> GS <br /> Public Hearin --Shellfish Regulations: <br /> Selectman Taylor opened the Public Hearing on the proposed Shellfish <br /> Regulations for the year 2003. Joyce Mason, Town Administrator read <br /> aloud the Public.Hearing notice as published. <br /> Richard York, Shellfish Constable was present to discuss the proposed <br /> amendments relative to the harvest of surf clams, and minimum harvesting <br /> sues for mussels and razor clams. <br /> Mr. York recommended the Town set a limit of one bushel per week for <br /> the harvest limit of surf Blas in accordance with State regulations, <br /> minimum harvest size 5", . <br /> It was noted that the State does not have a minimum harvesting size for <br /> mussels or rater clans. Mr. York recommended 2" in the longest <br /> dimension of the shell as the MM* itnum harvesting size for mussels and <br /> razor clams. <br /> There are no changes to the fee structure or classifications. <br /> Being no comment,the Board motioned to close the public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Leveille. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous, 5-0. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Ueveille to approve the Ma h ee Shellfish <br /> Regulations for 2003 as amended. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE; Unanimous. 5- . <br />
