S <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> March 24, 2003 <br /> APPOfNTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> Bamstable County omrrrissioners--Co]qM Services: <br /> Mary LeClair arra Counter Commissioner Bill Doherty were present to <br /> discuss services the County provides to the Town of Mashpee. Barnstable <br /> Counter services include the Cape Cod Commission, Cooperative <br /> Extension, Cape Light Compact, Dredge Office, Health and Environment <br /> and Resource Development, <br /> A brochure of materials.was distributed for public dissemination. It was <br /> noted that Barnstable County provided $13,473.73 surplus County <br /> funds to the Town of Mashpee in fiscal year 2002. <br /> DPW Director: <br /> Heritage Park Npansi n Six- r Plan: <br /> Greg <br /> Greg Taylor, Director of Public Works outlined the.proposed work at <br /> Heritage park. A six-year plan incorporating construction estimates was <br /> presented in the site master plan for the development of Heritage Park. <br /> This spring, the Department of Public Works will provide safety <br /> improvements to the parking area,prior to the spring season. Work as <br /> proposed with remaining funds will also allow for a playable field by <br /> April 1, 2003. Parking lot improvements are expected to be completed by <br /> April 15'h. <br /> Mr. 'Taylor detailed the work related to the Heritage Park expansion <br /> project in a memorandum addressed to the Selectmen dated March 3, <br /> 2003. It was noted that projects for the six-yeas plan are not fanded to <br /> date. It is hopeful that the military will provide support to assist with <br /> the intended project supe. <br />
