6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> May 12, Zoo <br /> APP 11'TMEN T S AND HEARINGS: <br /> S <br /> Ernestyiruilio-MMR Joint Land Use Stud: <br /> Proposed Resolution: <br /> Selectman Marsters stepped down for the above referenced agenda topic <br /> of discussion. <br /> Mashpee's representative to the Cape Cod Commission, Ernest Virgilio <br /> was present with John Litman, Chief Planner and Deputy Director of the <br /> Cape Cod Commission to discuss the Town's participation in the <br /> Department of Defense Joint Land Use Study .lLUS . <br /> The Department of Defense is proposing to provide for the development <br /> of a JLUS between the four Upper Cape towns and the N04R, The Towns <br /> of Sandwich and Falmouth have adopted the Resolution, The Town of <br /> Bourne also adopted the Resolution as amended and subject to the <br /> approval of local legislative bodies. <br /> Mr. Litman outlined the intent of the program critical to the future use of <br /> the base and its relationships with the neighboring towns. The Department <br /> of Defense provides 100% of the cash funding assumptions. <br /> Correspondence was received from.Brian Nickerson, P1.=er; <br /> Massachusetts National Guard dated May 2, 2003 relative to the benefits <br /> of the study. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to adopt the Resolution NEWR <br /> Joint Land Use Study in support of the language as amended and <br /> adopted by the Town of Bourne. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Selectman Mairsters absent. <br />
