Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> April 7, Zoo <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Herring Warden Interviews. <br /> In response to the advertisement for the position of Herring warden, the <br /> Selectmen interviewed to candidates seeping interest for appointment. <br /> The individual oversees the Town herring runs, assistant herring wardens, <br /> gate operations, scheduling and lake levels. Lav enforcement background <br /> is helpful, but not necessary. <br /> Michael Rose submitted his letter of interest on January 13, 2003. He is a <br /> retired correction's officer, and an avid fisherman. Mr. Rose indicated <br /> that he is concerned with the ecosystem of the Upper Cape and importance <br /> of the Town's ponds and rivers. <br /> Michael F. Scirpoh, Jr. submitted his application on March 8, 2003 for the <br /> position of Herring Warden in response to the Makh 7, 2003 <br /> advertisement. lair. Scirpoli indicated that he is a retired police officer and <br /> is available to devote his time to the position. He is also an avid <br /> fisherman. <br /> The Selectmen agreed to consult the Harbormaster with respect to his <br /> recommendation for appointment. <br /> Motion rade by Selectman Cahalane to table the appointment of <br /> .herring'warden to the next Selectmen's Meeting to obtain input from. <br /> the Harbormaster. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters, <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> x <br /> h <br /> 5 <br />
