Sandwich Rd. <br /> d) Mirto, Wendy & Michael —farm located at 31 Quashnet Rd. <br /> e) Baker, Ralph et. al —farm located at 501 Cotuit Rd. <br /> Director Streebel recommended approval of the Chapterland applications stating that there <br /> were no changes from the previous year. <br /> Gregg Fraser motioned to grant the Fiscal Year 2018 Chapterland Exemption <br /> applications for AJL LaCava Realty Trust 11; Chop Chaque Cranberries, Inc.; Goldberg, <br /> Carol & Avrum; Mirto, Wendy & Michael and Baker, Ralph et. al. <br /> Sheldon Holzer seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Yes-3 <br /> Roll Call Vote: Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes; Sheldon Holzer, yes. <br /> Review and approval of various documents for the Recapitulation Paperwork <br /> The Board reviewed and signed various documents of the Recapitulation Paperwork. No vote <br /> was required. <br /> Vote on recommendation to the Board of Selectmen re-garding Classification of <br /> property, the Small Business Exemption, and the Residential Exemption <br /> All Board members reaffirmed their position to recommend to the Selectmen for their <br /> Classification Hearing that the Selectmen adopt a single tax rate for all classes of property <br /> including Open Space, no Small Business Exemption and no Residential Exemption. <br /> Gregg Fraser made a motion that Director Streebel prepare a letter with the Assessors' <br /> recommendation and present it to the Board of Selectmen for their hearing. <br /> Sheldon Holzer seconded the motion. <br /> VOTE: Yes-3 <br /> Roll Call Vote: Paul Andrews, yes; Gregg Fraser, yes; Sheldon Holzer, yes. <br /> Discussion of board minutes and board secreta duties <br /> Chairman Andrews suggested that a significant cost savings to the Town and efficiency in <br /> scheduling could be achieved if the Director of Assessing (who is already required to attend <br /> the meetings) was tasked with taking and preparing the minutes of Board of Assessors' <br /> meetings. <br /> The Chair noted the excellent and above board work performed by Board Secretary Jean <br /> Giliberti from the Human Resource's secretarial pool and that this suggestion was in no way a <br /> reflection on her abilities. Nor was it to be considered a reflection on the abilities of her <br /> predecessor, Ina Schlobohm. <br /> - 2 - <br />
