After
careful review of funding available for appropriation it is the recommendation of the Finance
Director and Town Manager that funding in the range of$416,000 to $420,000 is accessible for
use as a resource to offset costs associated to the capital improvement program for FYI 7.
In review of projects considered by the CIP it was agreed that several projects would be moved
forward and/or eliminated from the capital plan. This includes the two Town Hall fleet vehicles,
and the Fiber Cable installation project.
Capital projects identified for funding with other sources include the VMWare Server and
Switch at the Police Department and the Firewall at Town Hall. The$39,000 cost shall derive
from MCAT funding.
In addition,the$70,000 Network Core Switch Replacement project was recognized and agreed
upon with the Schools to be funded through their operating budget or by the School Choice
Account for this technology upgrade.
