COUNCIL ON AGING MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, MARCH 9, 2016 <br /> Present: Council on Aging Members Irving Goldberg, Jack Jordan, Jean Noussee, <br /> Virginia McIntyre, Ernest Cornelssen, Mary Gaffney and Council on Aging Director <br /> Lynne Waterman, <br /> Absent: Marijo Gorney, Norah McCormick, Outreach Coordinator Darlene Perkins <br /> Also Present: David Egel, Candidate for Vacancy on the Council on Aging <br /> Chairman Irving Goldberg opened the meeting at 8:35 a.m. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES— January 13, 2016 <br /> Motion: Ernie Cornelssen moved to approve the minutes of February 10, 2016, <br /> seconded by Jean Noussee. Vote unanimous 6-0 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> Public Comments <br /> None <br /> Interview of Candidate for the Council on Aging Board <br /> The Director read a letter of interest from David Egel regarding the vacancy on the <br /> Council on Aging. Mr. Egel gave his background and his interest in being on the <br /> Council. The members asked him several questions and thanked him for coming to their <br /> meeting. The Chair stated that a vote will be taken by the Council on Aging members at <br /> their April meeting regarding a recommendation for the board vacancy. <br /> COMMUNICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT <br /> Lynne Waterman, Director, distributed her report for the month of February. She noted <br /> she met with several leaders of various ongoing activities. She and the Outreach <br /> Coordinator met with the VNA nurse who conducts the Ask a Nurse program. She also <br /> reported she and the Outreach Coordinator met with a person who is proposing to <br /> conduct the Kindness Rocks Art Workshop at the Senior Center. <br />
